We’re less than two weeks away from the release of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse on the Wii U, and that means Nintendo’s firing away with its TV spots. We have a new one today, complete with the cringe-inducing voice-over from the overly excited dude selling games to a very specific and odd demographic.

What is that demographic? I don’t know. I don’t know anyone that likes the voice-over style that Nintendo uses for its TV commercials. It’s, and I mean this in the most descriptive sense of the word, lame.

What’s not lame, however, is how good the actual game in the clip looks. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is the follow-up to Kirby: Canvas Curse that released on the DS so many years ago. Only this time, Kirby’s adventures go down in a gorgeous clay world.

The clay looks great, and I can’t wait to get going on this tale next week.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse will launch for the Wii U on Feb. 20. The game will sell for the budget price of $39.99. We’ll have our review for you as soon as we’re able.
