Microsoft continue to sway into the Japanese market with a huge boost from Square Enix in the form of Kingdom Hearts III. Xbox boss Phil Spencer proudly announced during Microsoft’s E3 2018 presentation that the series would be heading to Xbox for the first time in history.

And, as usual, it brought along a nice trailer.

In addition, Square Enix also chimed in on Twitter to confirm that the game will be released in January 2019.

Despite a lifetime of Square Enix dominating my brainwaves, I’ve never been huge on Kingdom Hearts. However, I’ll be checking this out when it launches, if only to see if Elsa’s emo fits into Kingdom Hearts‘ moodiness. “All I ever do is hurt people.” Such a Kingdom Hearts line.

Kingdom Hearts III will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2019.
