Square Enix is bringing both of the PlayStation 3 Kingdom Hearts bundles to the PlayStation 4 in 2017, meaning the entire series will be playable on the console. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix includes all six games that were bundled before and runs them at 60FPS for the first time.

The bundle includes:

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix
    • Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
    • Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
    • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (the DS game adapted into two hours and 50 minutes of cinematic retelling)
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix
    • Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
    • Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix
    • Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (not playable, adapted into three hours of cinematic retelling)

This is the best way to get caught up on the Kingdom Hearts series

Stragglers, like myself, who need to catch up on the series before the launch of Kingdom Hearts III will not find a better way to do so. Buying the two HD bundles separately on the PlayStation 3 was an option a while ago, but this will become the definitive edition on March 28 for the PlayStation 4.

Now, if Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories would only find its way to Virtual Console…
