Briefly teased at last year's E3, Kinect Star Wars got a much more in-depth demo this year that shows this may be the Star Wars game fans of the films have waited years for.

During the brief mention last year, we were shown what a Star Wars game for Kinect might look like, but without a full out demo, it was hard to tell how well the motion controls would be implemented.  As you can see from the screenshots below, it looks like everything will be controlled by gestures.  In the first shot, the player is using what is commonly known as Force Push to shave a battle tank, and he followed this up by lifting it.

They also showed off other Force powers such as Force Dash which was activated by leaning forward and swooping your arms back to mimic shooting forward.

While the Kinect was first labeled as just being for kids and families, some of what was shown today such as this should certainly have people rethinking the possible uses for the controller.

What do you think?  Will Kinect Star Wars live up to its possibilities?
