Killer is Dead, the next game from Suda 51 and Kadokawa Games, made waves this week when it was detailed in Famitsu. Now, the team is ready to show off the style, gameplay and flavor of this next bloody romp.
The Killer is Dead trailer showcases a few things that come with the territory of being a brainchild of Goichi Suda. First, that grit and style is something you’re likely to find in a lot of his banner games. It’s reminiscent of Killer7 and the No More Heroes games. Second, this game looks almost like a pulpy Tarantino flick, rife with composition designed specifically to make things look cool and brutal.
Goichi Suda’s games are, in a word, bizarre. He brings a one-of-a-kind personality and flair to the table with all of his work. Killer7 was one of my favorite GameCube games, based solely on the fact that it was probably one of the most unique titles on the system.
Killer is Dead, as revealed in the trailer above, is slated for release this summer. It’s set to drop for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
