Just a few days ago, popular torrent site KickassTorrents (KAT) was shut down after alleged owner was arrested. It didn't take long for the website to resurface as other online pirates rushed in to fill the void.

The Verge spotted two new mirrors of KAT. The first was created by a member of torrent site isoHunt. It's a pretty limited mirror that offers files uploaded in the past year or so. It's also missing popular features like the user forum and support.

A second mirror called KAT.am offers a better copy of the original site. Its anonymous creators told The Verge that they plan to offer the full database, including all media files, old comments and other user info. They also hope to improve on KAT with a new mobile site.

It's clear the torrent community isn't going away anytime soon, despite the U.S. government's attack on KAT's owner.
