Google just released its latest Android distribution data, which gives a glimpse into the market share that each version of Android has around the world.

Not surprisingly, because manufacturers have been slow to update or release devices powered by it, just 1.8% of Android devices are running the company's latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. 23.7% are running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, likely because most new devices hitting the market are still launching with that version of the OS, 1.9% are running a version of Honeycomb, 55.8% are running a version of Gingerbread, 12.9% still run Froyo, 3.4% are powered by Eclair, 0.4% run Donut and 0.1% are still powered by Android 1.5 Cupcake.

The data was collected by Google during a 14-day period ended on Oct. 1.
