Jurassic World Day in the Life

A clever new update to the Jurassic World site went up on Monday, giving viewers the opportunity to see a “live” view of some of the park’s main attractions. It’s a fun way to get acquainted with the film, which we saw a terrific teaser for during the Big Game on Sunday. Even though we didn’t get a full look at Indominus Rex, we did see it wreak havoc on one of the park’s employees. RIP.

There are about 14 different camera feeds to click on, including the creation lab, gyrosphere line and even the T. Rex paddock. Sadly, none of them actually show any creatures, which means you’ll have to stick to the trailers that have been released. The live feeds are obviously just looped videos, but they’re convincing in their executions; if you didn’t know any better, you’d think it was a look at any popular tourist destination.

Of course, given what we’ve seen in the trailers, the serenity and safety of the park doesn’t last forever. I’ve been scoping out some of the feeds and haven’t really noticed any big easter eggs just yet, but I’m sure there’s something I haven’t picked up on. I did notice that there is a Starbucks, which I imagine is an international symbol of comfort.

Little do they know they’re the ones on the menu. The site has been a little buggy for me, but you get the gist. It really drives the point home that Jurassic World is an actual theme park, and it’s a clever way for Universal to market what is turning out to be an exciting return to Isla Nublar.

Jurassic World will be out on June 12, 2015.
