The Jak and Daxter Collection, as it has been officially announced on the PlayStation Blog, will be fulfilling the dreams and desires of series faithful when it finally launches on February 7th, 2012. That's right, the game has been slated for a release date that's roughly two weeks from today.

The price of the package will be $39.99. That ticket will get you access to HD remakes of Jak and Daxter, Jak II and Jak 3. Each game will feature 3D display capabilities as well as extended trophy support.

If you're a diehard PlayStation 3 gamer and you fancy yourself to be a hunter and collector of those glorious trophies, the Jak and Daxter Collection will offer up a good challenge for your future virtual cabinet. The games will pack more than 100 trophies for unlocking.

If you're unfamiliar with this famous duo and their brand of adventure, know that the franchise is the work of none other than Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog's most recent property is, of course, the Uncharted series. They're also the folks working on the upcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive, The Last of Us.

Alright Sony, we love that you've gone and released a Sly Cooper collection, the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus bundle, the God of War duo and now Jak and Daxter, but the next big one we (I?) want is Ratchet & Clank. Make it happen and I'll love you forever.

Will you be grabbing the Jak and Daxter Collection on February 7th?
