We already have a jailbreak for iOS 6 and iOS 6.1, but Apple recently addressed several bugs by launching a new version of the mobile operating system on Tuesday. Thankfully, for the enthusiast community, it's still possible to jailbreak the latest release.

The crew behind the Evad3rs jailbreak recently issued the following statement: "[We're] not yet able to test all devices, but it's looking good for 6.1.2. iPad mini wi-fi and iPhone 5 are still jailbreakable." In other words, if you own the iPhone 5 or the iPad mini with Wi-Fi, you might be treated to a fresh jailbreak soon.

The hackers didn't say when the update will be released, if ever, but we're certainly excited to learn that jailbreaking wasn't "broken" with the latest iOS release.

Update: And just like that, an untethered Jailbreak is available using Evasi0n. There's a full tutorial over at Redmond Pie, so hop on over there if you want to free your iOS device.
