Pictures surfaced on the web today of what may be the new 7th generation iPod Nano. The photos show a new model very similar to the current generation of the music player; however, adding a 1.3-megapixel camera to the back of the device, and removing the clip from the rear of the player. The current clip design would interfere with a rear-facing camera.

The pictures were posted on Taiwanese Apple blog, tw.apple.pro. The site has correctly predicted the past six versions of the player- so chances are good the pictures may be accurate.

The 5th generation of the iPod Nano had a rear-facing camera. While Apple chose to ditch the camera in the 6th version, the return of a camera to the device seems like a likely scenario.

What do you think about the pictures? Do you think they’re legit? Would you like to see a camera return to the iPod Nano?
