The iPhone models due out later this year will run iOS 12, according to updated filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission. Surprising? Not at all, but this serves us a reminder that multiple models with various configurations are in the pipeline.
Every certified model has been updated in preparation of the big reveal.
In early September, Apple is believed to introduce three new iPhone models. But we’re getting some information on them months in advance. The Cupertino-based company should have two iPhone models with OLED panels and one more with an LCD panel.
Between them, the specifications are likely to be very similar. It’s just the display technology and measurements that’ll be different. You’ll get to choose 5.8-, 6.1-, and 6.5-inch models.
Apple often sends upcoming products through this database within weeks of an announcement. The model numbers here include A19XX, A209X, and A210X. No one, though, knows how the model numbers match up.
The iPhone might not be the only product in Apple’s portfolio getting upgraded this year. The iPad, as well as the Apple Watch and select Macs, could be featured during the hardware-focused event, too. Apple could be trying to pack more into this annual presentation to overshadow Google’s event that’ll take a place a few weeks after.
