The iPhone 7 is expected to come in silver, gold, rose gold and a new dark gray/space black color option. Now a new report claims the device could launch in a fifth glossy black variant as well.

The news comes from Japanese blog Mac Otakara, which previously reported the fourth color option for the iPhone 7. The article adds that the glossy black design will resemble the 2013 Mac Pro. The site reveals a row of iPhone SIM trays representing the five color options as evidence. It also includes a mockup of what the glossy black iPhone 7 Plus might look like.

Mac Otakara also reaffirms that the iPhone 7 will sport a larger rear camera with optical image stabilization while the iPhone 7 Plus packs a pair of rear cameras. The new devices are expected to ship without a 3.5mm jack as well, forcing customers to plug into the Lightning port with a special adapter or switch to Bluetooth. Under the hood, Apple will likely include a new A10 chip, a bigger battery and better storage options starting at 32GB.

Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 7 at an event on September 7 in California. The upgraded iPhone cameras are expected to take center stage, but we assume these new color options will also get plenty of attention next week.
