Many people will be unboxing a brand new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on Friday (us included), which means it’s time to start thinking about what case you’re going to slap on it. But if you already have a case, the good news is that whatever you use with your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus will work with Apple’s new iPhones even though they’re slightly (but not noticeably) bigger.
Because today is iPhone day, we decided to check out Apple’s family of leather cases, which is about the prettiest way to protect your device. I don’t personally use a case, but I’m very tempted to pick a leather case up. Not only does it look great, but it feels great, too—it doesn’t add much bulk, which is key. And you can bet that leather will age beautifully as it gets thrashed around.
Apple says its cases are made from premium, hand-selected European tanned leather, which sounds fancy and luxurious; it just means you’re getting a quality product. Each case comes with a color-matched microfiber interior to ensure the exterior of your iPhone remains pristine.
There are five options: midnight blue, saddle brown, rose gray, brown and black. As you can tell from the photos, the saddle brown is my color of choice, though the rose gray isn’t too bad. Each case is available right now for $49; Apple sells 11 different silicone cases as well, which retail for $39.
