In just one more day Apple will take the stage and reveal everything there is to know about the iPhone 6 (we think), but if you just can’t wait it looks like China Mobile may have spilled the beans. We’ll proceed with caution since this isn’t the first time a Chinese carrier has claimed to know iPhone 6 details ahead of time, but for the most part China Mobile’s specs line up with what we expect to see announced by Apple on Tuesday.
Apple is expected to reveal two new iPhones tomorrow, offering up 4.7 and 5.5 inches models to compete with larger Android smartphones. According to China Mobile the smaller iPhone 6 will come equipped with a 1134 x 750-pixel display with sapphire glass and an A8 quad-core processor, despite recent report suggesting the 4.7-inch iPhone won’t use sapphire for its display or a quad-core chip. The device will also apparently pack an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter, a nano SIM card, and 16/32/64/128GB of storage, though we’re not expecting a 128GB option for the smaller iPhone 6. Finally, China Mobile claims the new handset could be dust and water-resistant, though this is the first time we’ve heard that particular rumor.
China Mobile doesn’t offer any specs for the 5.5-inch iPhone, though recent reports suggest it could be called the iPhone 6 Plus, up to 128GB of storage and a sapphire glass display. With just one day to go until Apple’s big event it probably won’t be long before we get the official rundown on both new iPhones and the company’s long-rumored wearable device. Until then check out the latest leaked photos of the iPhone 6 in action.
