A new report suggests that Apple's iPhone 5s is now the top selling smartphone on each of the big four wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless. That's not too surprising considering it's one of the hottest new smartphones on the market, though with shortages still prevalent across the United States it's an impressive stat.
The Galaxy S4 was the second most popular selling smartphone on Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile, though Apple's new iPhone 5c is the second biggest seller at AT&T and Sprint, the report published by Canaccord said. Apple might not hold the crown at each of the carriers for long, however, since Canaccord expects Samsung's new Galaxy Note 3 phablet to be another big seller in the coming weeks. The device launches this Friday and will cost $299, though Sprint will sell it for $349.
The iPhone 5s has been a super popular phone for Apple overall; it made up 78 percent of Apple's sales during the launch weekend of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, during which Apple sold a reported 9 million iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c units in total. We'll see how long it can retain the throne.
