A last minute discovery on Apple’s internal GSX website has the iPad mini with Retina display’s release date rumored for Nov. 12 in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States and China.

MacRumors notes that in the past Apple has announced a new product’s launch with a press release sent out around 5:30 a.m.—pointing to the refreshed iMac with Haswell processor released last month—though it seems unlikely that this is the case now with a major device like the Retina iPad mini. The fact that it’s already Nov. 12 in a number of the countries listed sheds further doubt on the rumor, as do reports that low supplies for the second-generation tablet could delay its launch until later in the month.

We seriously doubt Apple will release the new iPad mini with Retina display tomorrow morning, but we’ll keep on eye out for any updates just in case.
