Apple is reportedly gearing up to introduce a new iPad mini model early next year, according to a recent report. Now, a supposed leak points to a few crucial details ahead of its release.
According to a leaked iPad mini 5 case, via Slashleaks, Apple's diminutive tablet may feature a dual-camera arrangement similar to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The speaker cutouts in the case also suggests the device will feature a four-speaker setup, providing users with full and robust sound.
There's also a cutout for a headphone jack and what might be a Smart Connector, which would allow the device to support a Smart Keyboard and other accessories.
It's unclear if the new iPad mini 5 will feature a design similar to Apple's recently released iPad Pro, including the flatter design and edge-to-edge display. The case also doesn't indicate whether or not the device will come equipped with Face ID.
If the device does feature more minimized bezels, expect it to sport a larger display in a smaller body.
Apple is expected to introduce a new iPad mini and a new entry-level iPad with a 10-inch display as early as next spring.
