Apple just introduced its brand new iPad mini 3 during its press event in Cupertino, California. The device is the third in Apple’s iPad mini product family, following the iPad mini and the iPad mini with Retina display.

Apple didn’t discuss the device in as much detail as the iPad Air 2, but it should ship with similar specs including Touch ID, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and more. We are assuming right now that the iPad mini 3 also includes the same A8X processor. Pre-orders for the iPad mini 3 start tomorrow, and the Wi-Fi model starts at $399 for 16GB of storage, though LTE options will also be available as well.

The iPad mini 3 should ship to you by the end of next week.
