Apple's iOS 8.3 update may have added a ton of fun new Emoji options, but it came at a cost for jailbreak fans. A fix is in the works and a new report suggests it may be less than a month away.

The new untethered jailbreak was actually unveiled recently at the MOSEC 2015 security conference by the Pangu team. We're still waiting for the official release, which is expected to arrive sometime in July. Until then, we wouldn't recommend updating your iOS device if you want to keep your jailbreak.

As for iOS 8.4, which Apple still hasn't released to the public, there's still no official word on plans for a jailbreak, though it's likely only a matter of time. The update is expected later this month and includes the company's new streaming app, Apple Music.

And finally, what about iOS 9? Several key jailbreakers have apparently already expressed interest in taking on the project. Earlier reports suggested that Apple might include a new security feature called Rootless that could make jailbreaking significantly more difficult in the future but, with a few folks dedicated to getting through, it seems like it's only a matter of time for an iOS 9 jailbreak, too.
