iPhone 6

Apple just released iOS 8.1.1 with several improvements to the mobile operating system. While we noticed the update is also available for the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple's release notes suggest that it's focused on increasing the stability and performance on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s, two devices that we've noted have had sluggish performance with iOS 8. Other improvements include bug fixes, presumably for all devices that operate on iOS.

Hopefully there's something that fixes some of the issues on some models of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that have caused devices with 128GB of storage to reboot at random times. Recent reports suggested Apple was targeting to fix those problems, which are reportedly related to the NAND flash storage in both devices, with iOS 8.1.1. We'll need to tool around with the new OS for a bit before we know for sure.

You can go ahead and check your device for the update now by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update.
