iOS 12 was released last month, but it’s never too early to think about what’ll be next. Apple, too, must be planning its next major software update for iPhone and iPad models.
There’s already some speculation for how iOS 13 could usher in a new era. Jacob Rendina, an illustrator on YouTube, went ahead and assembled an iOS 13 concept. It shows a few new features, and none of them are too crazy to dismiss. Truthfully, it’s an iOS 13 concept that looks completely realistic.
Rendina created mockups for a redesigned home screen that includes privacy locks for apps, multi-window multitasking, pinned notes, and shortcuts to anything. He also believes there will be Dark Mode offered on a system-level basis.
More impressively, we see an always-on display for the iPhone. It would resemble the lock screen, but don’t have to actually hit the power buttons. You get the time, date, and notifications at a glance. Again, we’re loving this concept for how realistic it seems from colors to layouts to animations.

Expect to see iOS 13 makes its global debut at WWDC 2019. Apple’s annual developer conference takes place in May or June, so we still have a long wait ahead of us.
