Business owners of Canada rejoice! You now have yet another option to process payments via your smartphone. Mobile payment processor Intuit has officially taken its on-the-go payment system live in the Great White North. The best part about this service is that its dongle and software are free and are available without contract. Opposed to asking for a small business' cash up front, Intuit's pay-as-you-go setup charges a percentage per purchase (3.3 percent for pin numbers and 2.7 percent for swiping a card) for Visa and MasterCard. As it stands, the hardware dongle and software are only available for iOS devices, but the company has already announced plans for both Android and BlackBerry versions.
