Let's play catch-up before you hit the link and head to Game Informer in order to read this utterly mind-blowing interview. A few years back, Jason West and Vince Zampella (former heads of Infinity Ward, the studio famous for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare) were fired. They were met with security and escorted out of the studios.

Then lawsuits happened, Infinity Ward staffers found out they weren't getting paid and West and Zampella met with EA and started Respawn Entertainment. The whole incident was bizarre. Head to Wikipedia for a rundown of events, if you like.

Now, and this is where things get "insane." Do yourselves a favor; grab a cup of coffee or tea, pull up a chair and settle in for the long haul. Game Informer interviewed Jason West, Vince Zampella and Robert Schwartz (their lawyer) to get the first personal take on all of the happenings between Infinity Ward and Activision.

What do they cover? Weird stuff. Crazy stuff. Stuff like Activision spying on employees, planning to hack into email servers, blackballing studio vets and breaching contracts.

Read it. Seriously. Read it.

Is this all 100% true? Who knows. If it is, it's incredibly unsettling. Props to Game Informer for nabbing the exclusive.
