It looks like Verizon is slashing the price for its iPad mini with Retina over on Amazon today. Now’s your chance to grab the 7.9-inch LTE tablet at a discount. The deal only applies to the 16GB and 32GB models, and seems to keep randomly disappearing only to pop up again — perhaps signifying there’s a mistake on Amazon’s end. If you don’t see it at first, try a few reloads as it keeps reappearing.
Either way, here’s the deal: the 16GB Retina iPad Mini with LTE support generally goes for $529, but today Amazon and Verizon appear to be knocking $185 off the price. Meanwhile, the 32GB version is down from its usual price by about $200 as well. Unfortunately the more expensive 64GB and 128GB models haven’t been discounted at all. No matter which version of the new iPad mini you pick you’ll still be getting the same 7.9-inch Retina display, A7 processor and great battery life.
The iPad mini with Retina display is a pretty awesome tablet, and if you’re looking to grab an LTE model from Verizon this is the best deal out there. Then again, if you can hold off for a few more months it could pay off in your favor. Apple is expected to update the 7.9-inch tablet later this year—probably around September—meaning the current model will likely drop in price at around the same time.
