Are you a morning person or a night owl? It doesn’t matter in inFamous: Second Son, because very soon, developer Sucker Punch will be releasing an update which will allow you to manually adjust the time of day in the game’s real world.
The game has cutscenes which are definitely meant to occur during certain times of the day, but the lighting engine has been something of a hinderance in the graphical quality when playing at night. Luckily, you will now be able to bypass this and play as you like without waiting for the in-game time to catch up with your style. The update is due “in the weeks to come,” says Sucker Punch’s Brian Fleming.
“Time-wise, the earliest we could have the patch and new features ready is about two weeks from now, so stay tuned for another update – we’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready to go live.”
Other updates to the game include the ability to turn off the HUD and completely lose yourself in the seamless world, and it will also boost the game’s performance to keep it locked at a constant 30FPS.
Anybody playing inFamous: Second Son looking forward to the update? I understand that the conduits are humans with super powers, but I had no idea they could play as God and adjust the world’s rotation. That’s one insane superpower to have. What’s next Sucker Punch? The ability to control the weather…?
