Hey, did you hear that inFAMOUS: Second Son is taking place in Seattle? I sure bet you have, because Sony and Sucker Punch have made it the central core of their marketing campaign for the game. Grunge rock, rain, coffee, rain, something about a bird of prey over a massive body of saltwater, rain, and more rain.

I guess is there is a lot of rain in Seattle. You guys don’t have to rub it in that much, you know.

Maybe they forgot that the game stars a super being with the power of purple lasers, but Sony has positioned the weather and the city itself as the main draw of this game, placing inFAMOUS: Second Son in the same group as every other open sandbox city made since Grand Theft Auto IV. At least they got the city’s tower properly built.

Hey, Sucker Punch! You have a charismatic bro who wears a hoodie and can shoot purple lasers from his fist! This isn’t the Niko Belic or any other sandbox hero with the personality of a brick. Let your character enjoy the limelight, and don’t let this expansive action set piece get in his way. You did so well with that in the first two games.

inFAMOUS: Second Son will be released for the PlayStation 4 on March 21.
