During the slew of announcements from Sony yesterday at their gamescom presentation, including news of the PlayStation 3 price cut to $249, Sucker Punch got to show off a trailer of the newest DLC headed to inFamous 2. inFamous 2: Festival of Blood features Cole MacGrath, done up all vampire and set on a mission.

In order to escape the darkness forever, Cole has one night to hunt down and kill the head vampire in this version of New Marals. The announcement from Sony did not indicate the length of the DLC or how much it should cost, but PlayStation.Blog did offer up some of the basic features present in the content once it launches.

"Featuring new missions, themed environment settings, plus new characters and enemies, Festival of Blood explores the darker side of the inFAMOUS universe."

I can't help but feel as if I've been here before. Not to take anything away from how potentially awesome and fun this inFamous 2 add-on will be, but didn't we do nearly this same exact thing last year with Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare DLC?

A darker side of New Austin? We got it. Classic Halloween baddies? Yep. Here's the real question: will inFamous 2: Festival of Blood feature, in any way, either unicorns or sasquatch? If not, will we be able to cope?

Pricing and the exact launch date have not been revealed for Festival of Blood; however, Sony announced that the game will be out during October in order to fit the Halloween spirit. How many Twilight fans will be tempted?
