  • Impossible Foods is launching the Impossible Sausage.
  • It will be available at Little Caesars pizza across the U.S.
  • The Impossible Supreme Pizza will cost $12.

Impossible Foods is gearing up to launch a meatless sausage, and you can try it exclusively at Little Caesars.

The move comes on the heels of the rollout of the Impossible Whopper, which is offered at Burger King locations across the U.S.

"Little Caesars had the foresight to recognize that the core of their meat-eating consumers would embrace an Impossible Sausage Pizza," Impossible CFO David Lee said.

Lee said that Little Caesars developed a custom seasoning to go with the meatless sausage.

"I'm confident that the Impossible Supreme Pizza will go down as one of the most surprising and satisfying menu sensations of 2019," said Little Caesars president and CEO David Scrivano.

The Impossible Supreme Pizza, which is available for $12, arrives amid rising interest in the meatless movement. Beyond Meats, a rival to Impossible Foods, also offers meatless sausage, which consumers can find at grocery stores across the U.S.

"This sausage leverages heme but at different quantities in combination with different other ingredients," Lee said when talking about what differentiates its Impossible Sausage. "Chefs can season it differently, just like they can with the Impossible Burger, but with that unique sausage smell, cook, and taste."

You can find the Impossible Supreme Pizza at 58 select Little Caesars locations in Yakima, WA, Ft. Meyers, FL, and Albuquerque, N.M. If all goes well, the sausage will be available more widely later this year.
