Nintendo is launching a new DLC pack for its Legend of Zelda spin-off title, Hyrule Warriors, and hands down, the most entertaining addition is a brand new costume for Link which looks awfully uncomfortable to wear.

For a long time in historically themed Japanese video games, including The Legend of Zelda’s excellent PlayStation 2 clone Okami, the “postman character” has made brief appearances. This character will usually sport a goofy hat and a large flag as he tears across the countryside delivering mail to different villages. This comes straight from the Japanese history books from back when people actually used to do this before trucks and airplanes.

Poor Link, he looks so embarrassed. Who made him wear such a demeaning costume?

Outside of this, the DLC pack also includes Twili Midna as a playable character and both the Dominion Rod and a new countryside Illia costume for Zelda. The DLC pack launches Thursday for $7.99, or you can pick it up for $19.99 in a season pass, which comes with the Master Quest pack and another planned DLC.

How much will you pay to see Link in those cute hot-pants?
