At the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the fate of Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk was left undetermined as the big green monster sailed off into the sunset. Where he’ll show up is anyone’s guess—some believe he’ll make a brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War, while others have said it’ll be a while before we see him again. A new rumor, however, claims the next time he shows up could be sooner than you think.

According to sources speaking to JoBlo, Hulk will co-star in Thor: Ragnarok, which is set to feature a mysterious “distant planet.” What’s more, JoBlo says much of the movie won’t occur in Asgard, which leads us to believe Marvel is teetering on the “Planet Hulk” idea. Fans have been expecting Marvel to go down this path for a while, and if Hulk has indeed somehow found himself in another dimension, the storyline doesn’t seem that far fetched.

In Planet Hulk, the Avengers actually send Hulk away, where he eventually conquers a distant planet. It’s unlikely Marvel would follow the storyline exactly, but it’s a neat way to re-introduce the character outside of his element. However, we’re not really sure how Marvel plans to juggle a Planet Hulk movie with Ragnarok, which is about the Norse Apocalypse.

Thor: Ragnarok isn’t scheduled to hit until Nov. 3, 2017, so we’re still very far from the film’s release. However, with the film’s director already in place, you can bet the storyline is being worked on as we speak.
