Earlier this week Telus published a document suggesting that the HTC Desire HD wasn't going to be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Then, a day later, HTC went on the record and said it was pleased to "confirm [it is] still on schedule to deliver an Ice Cream Sandwich update for both the desire HD and the Desire S." Now we're back at square one.

"HTC is committed to providing the best customer experience on our devices and are currently determining the ability to support Ice Cream Sandwich on the HTC Desire HD," HTC said in a statement to AndroidCentral. " We'll provide more information when we've completed our analysis."

Sounds like the update isn't definite anymore. We're not sure why there's so much back-and-forth going on right now. Hey, HTC: either issue the update or don't, but HTC Desire HD owners deserve to know either way whether it's coming or not. *Drops the mic*
