Huawei must think triple-camera setups are the next trend in the mobile industry.
In recent days, we’ve spotted the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Lite. Both will arrive this fall with notches and multi-camera setups; however, the Mate 20 Lite will sport two rear lenses while the larger sibling adds a third. Now we’re getting a look at the Mate 20 Pro. It’s the first time we’ve seen Huawei’s top-of-the-line model.
While it’ll have some specifications that go above and beyond, the Mate 20 Pro should ship with a triple-camera setup like the primary flagship. The leak shows Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro with a triple-camera setup matching the Mate 20’s.
Rumors suggest the camera module will include a 40MP primary lens, a 20MP monochrome lens, and a telephoto lens. Below the triple-camera setup, we can see a fingerprint scanner.
The Mate 20 family should make its global debut in October. Based on how difficult it was to get the Mate 10 into the U.S., don’t be surprised if Huawei limits these devices to Asia and Europe. Huawei’s Honor brand could continue giving it a U.S. presence as the main brand focuses on other regions.
