HTC Ville render

It seems that HTC has a lot of tricks up its collective sleeves for this spring. The other day we brought you news of the HTC Edge, a phone that looks to just be a monster of a handset, and today it's followed up with rumors of the HTC Ville.

Unlike the HTC Edge with its quad-core Nvidia processor, BGR is reporting that the HTC Ville – presumed to be a codename – will be returning to the familiar grounds of a Qualcomm processor for this one.  A 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon Series 4 processor will be powering this device with a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display upfront.  Around back you'll find an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture capabilities, but NFC is looking unlikely as the 8mm thick device will be entirely housed in a metal chasis.  As for speed, you can expect HSPA+ support and a 1,650 mAh battery powering all of the goods.  (Anyone notice the lack of a front facing camera in the render?  Odd.)

The big news is that this looks like it will be the first phone released with HTC Sense 4.0, the latest iteration of the popular Android skin.  It's also set to launch with Ice Cream Sandwich, which isn't a huge surprise considering when its slated for release, but still nice to see that starting to pop up in leaked information if not official statements yet.

While not the beast that the HTC Edge looks to be, the Ville is still going to be a nice phone, and one definitely to keep our eyes on when it launches next spring.
