HTC Quattro

We nearly managed to go a whole week without a HTC leak, but on the final day we have something special for you: a leaked image of what appears to be the company’s first quad-core tablet. The device is named the HTC Quattro and it packs NVIDIA’s new Tegra 3 processor.

It also features 1GB of RAM, according to a PocketNow report, 16GB of internal storage, and the same connectivity options you’d expect to see in any HTC tablet, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. There’s also two cameras: a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera — both of which are capable of 720p video recording.

Just like its latest smartphones, the HTC Quattro also sports Beats audio technology, and is likely to come with a set of fancy Beats headphones. Oh, and a HTC Scribe pen, similar to that bundled with the 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet.

That sounds like the recipe for a pretty awesome Android tablet if you ask me, but will it be able to compete with the world’s first quad-core tablet, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime? I certainly think so.

The HTC Quattro isn’t the Taiwanese company’s only quad-core device in production. We’ve also seen snaps of the HTC Edge, its first quad-core smartphone, which could be the world’s first smartphone to ship with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip. That’s if HTC can get it out before LG, Motorola, and Samsung launch theirs.

We currently have no idea when the HTC Quattro is likely to launch, or how much it’ll cost. However, it is expected to make its first appearance at the Mobile World Conference 2012, which takes place next February.

Are you excited for the HTC Quattro?
