Microsoft is issuing its first notable Windows Phone 8 update to the HTC Windows Phone 8X. The patch is named “Portico,” WPCentral said, and is currently only popping up in parts of Europe. However, it includes a fix to a bug where the phone would drop a Wi-Fi connection and switch to a cellular network after it entered into idle mode. Portico also provides users with an option to delete all SMS messages at once, a new feature to send a text to reject a phone call, and a new option for SMS drafts.

Microsoft hasn’t made information on the update public just yet, and it was first spotted by a WPCentral reader who lives in Italy. It’s unclear if, or when, the software patch will roll out to other areas around the globe. We’ll certainly let you know if it does.
