HTC’s One (M8) may get the most attention, but the company also offers a number of budget-friendly options with its Desire lineup. Now, the Taiwanese phone-maker looks ready to unleash another mid-range handset after teasing the announcement on Chinese social network Weibo.

The notice doesn’t reveal much, simply offering the tagline “Always Desire more” and the date Jan. 6 during the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show. That big sparkling circle almost reminds us of a camera lens, suggesting this new device could put an emphasis on photography. That’s not out of the question considering HTC’s latest offering with the Desire EYE, though maybe we’re reaching a bit.

Based on other recent entries like the Desire 820, we’re definitely expecting a sleek plastic device with decent specs at a competitive price. Any interesting tweaks to the new phone’s design and software may also offer a hint at HTC’s plans for its next flagship metal phone, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any more news ahead of the official unveiling.

Of course, TechnoBuffalo will also be covering CES 2015 on the ground starting next week, so we’ll be sure to get our hands on whatever the company has to offer.
