HTC still hasn’t released a smartwatch, and while other companies are already lapping the Taiwanese firm we may finally see its long-rumored wearable early next year. The device will allegedly launch in February, suggesting it could debut at Mobile World Congress 2015.

The news comes from Evan Blass, who’s well known for leaking gadgets. That doesn’t mean it’s definitely accurate, but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that HTC is at least considering launching a smartwatch. The company even unveiled a fitness-focused wearable earlier this year, but ended up delaying its launch indefinitely.

It’s unclear whether this new device will be a fitness tracker with time-telling capabilities or a full smartwatch. And if we do get an HTC smartwatch that only raises more questions. Will it run Android Wear or the company’s own custom software? Will it feature a square display or a round one? What kind of design and specs will it offer?

We don’t have any answers for now.
