HTC unveiled several new products last night but, along with those devices, it also announced that it would soon push out a new EYE Experience update that delivers fresh camera features to several existing smartphones. GizmoBolt was tipped off Thursday by someone who noticed that the HTC One (M8) is already receiving that update in addition to Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The EYE Experience adds several features, such as the ability to more accurately track faces during video conference calls, the option to crop yourself into a photo, the ability to easily share your screen and more. It’s a highlight feature of HTC’s new Desire EYE smartphone, which packs two 13-megapixel cameras, but the software package is also hitting the One (M7), the One mini, the One mini 2 and several other smartphones.

As PhoneArena notes, it’s unclear if this is already a massive global rollout or if it’s just for select regions. Also keep in mind that this update will also need carrier approval in the United States, so you probably won’t see it on your carrier branded device for at least a few weeks.
