Dig the HTC DROID DNA but still want something a hair smaller? It appears the company is working on yet another smartphone with a 1080p display, but this time with a smaller 4.7-inch screen.

The phone is currently codenamed the M7 and will apparently ship with a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (likely a Snapdragon Pro), 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, LTE and 42Mbps HSDPA support, a 13-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, Beats Audio, a 2,300mAh battery and Android Jelly Bean.

Those specs sound pretty amazing to us, and we hope this rumor actually comes to fruition in the form of a new, smaller 1080p handset from HTC. We're guessing we will hear more during CES 2013 or during Mobile World Congress in February.
