HTC has confirmed that does have plans to bring Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to its One X, One XL, and One S smartphones. Although this is hardly surprising given the fact that these are the Taiwanese company's latest Android handsets, it reassuring when users receive confirmation.

What HTC didn't confirm it its statement, however, is when the update would come:

"We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."

Earlier this week, Australian carrier Telstra already revealed that HTC is "preparing" Jelly Bean updates for the One XL and the One S. But as we noted then, the carrier has an unfortunate track record when it comes to announcing Android updates. With that said, it's nice to get confirmation from HTC.
