If you're thinking about purchasing a brand new PC for Windows 10, then HP has your back. The company has confirmed that it has new Windows 10 devices on the way — and they'll be available the day the platform rolls out on July 29.

Microsoft has already passed its final Windows 10 build onto PC makers, so although we won't get it until July 29, HP and rival manufacturers have already begun optimizing it for their latest machines. And now HP is promising that customers who pre-ordered one of those will get it on Windows 10 launch day.

"Right now, a customer can buy select PCs with Windows 10 directly from HP.com and it will ship on July 28," HP announced on its blog. "We are offering free next-day shipping so customers will receive the device on July 29."

If you haven't or don't want to pre-order, then you'll find HP machines running Windows 10 in retail stores beginning August 2. Alternatively, you can pick one up now with Windows 8.1, and get a free upgrade to Windows 10 later this month.
