Rocket League is huge. There’s no way that statement can be qualified as hyperbolic or an exaggeration. The game that debuted as a reboot or sequel of the poorly named yet still glorious Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars has ushered in a horde of happy and hungry users.
Psyonix announced a new milestone achieved on Twitter yesterday. Rocket League has surpassed 15 million players.
You can actually count me twice in that pool. I grabbed the game when it first launched as a PlayStation Plus title, which completely surprised me back then. I wound up buying the game again on the PC in order to play with a different group of friends.
I’d imagine a lot of users have done the same.
Still, 15 million is a huge number for this ridiculous game. Kudos to Psyonix.
