Earlier this week, The Legend of Zelda Series Producer Eiji Aonuma talked about the development team likes to watch videos and read about moments when players use the game’s physics system to go absolutely hog wild. The developers would see something and be rendered “speechless.”
That’s largely why I personally love this game. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was so well made as a sandbox that it offers unique ways to approach and “solve” every moment.
Take the clip below that a gamer posted on Twitter. Need to ascend a tower in a bit of a troublesome space? Don’t waste your time climbing. Instead, find a tree, cut it down, lock it in Stasis, blow it up and ride it to the top of your destination.

So many people I’ve talked to had a hard time beating The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Not because the game was particularly challenging (though, it is tough at times) or unforgiving, but because they didn’t want it to end.
They didn’t want their reason to keep goofing off in the fantastic open space to dry up. They wanted to keep finding new ways to move about, new ways to defeat enemies and new ways to “fly.”
I’m the same way. How about you?
