If you read a lot of TechnoBuffalo, I think you would have appreciated it if I started this story with “Dear Ronald Duwell.” One of our other gaming writers has been obsessed with the possibility and subsequent confirmation of Dragon Quest VII‘s North American localization.

Now we have 14 minutes of Enligh gameplay for the title that comes courtesy of Polygon. You can see that at the head of this post.

While Ron is a diehard Dragon Quest fan, I can say that I’ve never really pushed too hard into the title. This looks like a classic JRPG to me, though, and that’s sort of piqued my interest in a big way. You just don’t see too many titles like this anymore, complete with that old school battle system that seems super relaxing right now.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, as it’s subtitled for the North American release, will launch for the Nintendo 3DS on September 16, 2016. Stay tuned for more on the game, likely written by Ron.
