Will Han Solo’s spinoff movie, starring Alden Ehrenreich, be more like a Lethal Weapon film? Probably not, but I really wish that were the case following a new rumor from The Wrap.

According to the report, Lando Calrissian, chum to Han Solo, will have a part in the upcoming anthology film. After all, Lando is the one who lost the Millennium Falcon to Solo in a game of Sabacc. I wonder if we’ll see this scene in the upcoming movie?

Adding to this rumor is a report from BirthMoviesDeath, which claims Donald Glover is the first choice of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Glover equal parts charming and funny, which is exactly what you need if you’re going to replace Billy Dee Williams. I mean, you can’t replace him, but you can sure try.

Lando is a famous figure in Star Wars despite not playing an enormous role. In The Empire Strikes Back, the Cloud City native is forced to betray Han, Leia, Chewbacca and C-3PO when the team arrives at Cloud City. That leads to Han being frozen in a block of carbonite, where he’s then delivered to Jabba the Hutt because of a bounty on his head.

Lando eventually redeems himself in Return of the Jedi, and he even gets a shot to drive the Millennium Falcon one last time. It’s a happy ending for everyone.

If Lando does indeed appear in Han Solo’s spinoff, who will get the role? Alas, we have no clue, but it’ll be hard as hell to replace Billy Dee Williams. I just hope there’s a little bit of that Riggs and Murtaugh love/hate when we see these two back together again.

The untitled Han Solo movie is currently scheduled for a 2018 release.
