Halo 4 trailer - 2

If you're getting by with an Xbox 360 Arcade or Core system with just 4GB of internal storage, now is the time to consider investing in a new hard drive if you're hoping to enjoy Halo 4's multiplayer game modes later this year. Microsoft has confirmed that the shooter will require at least 8GB of storage for online play.

The company reveals on Xbox.com:

At a minimum, you'll need at least an 8GB USB Flash Drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play Multiplayer mode in Halo 4. For an optimal experience playing with an Xbox 360 Hard Drive is highly recommended. For Xbox 360 4GB, Arcade and Core consoles, the Xbox 360 Hard Drive is sold separately.

Of course, that storage is obviously going to be spent mostly on multiplayer maps, of which there are expected to be 10 available at launch.

Will you need to upgrade your storage for Halo 4?
