People are wasting no time hacking the Kinect controller from Microsoft.  First we were just treated to demos of it being possible, but now people are getting it to play other games … including original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games.

In this video a guy has it hacked the Kinect to work with his PC, and then running a NES emulator he is able to get it to control Super Mario Brothers 3.  You can see him on the screen making the motions, as well as being reflected in a mirror, so you know he's really doing it.  The only negative we'll say, and it has nothing to do with his hacking skills, is that it is obvious the Kinect is having trouble with finer motions.  The reaction time to his jumps is not perfect, and that's making things like getting the growth mushroom a bit labor intensive.

Overall great job, however!
