Sony has announced that it will kick off a closed beta for Gran Turismo Sport in the United States on March 17. At first, the program will only be available for select US PSN IDs, but will be "increased gradually and in stages."

If a user is fortunate enough to score an invite to the beta (US residents can sign up here), they'll be able play to the game during specific times throughout the day, with the rotation of cars and tracks refreshing every 24-hours.

Best of all, the new Driver Profile matchmaking system will make its debut in the beta, which automatically matches players with appropriate competitors to create a balanced group of drivers for every race.

Butwhen will it launch?

Sadly, we still don't have an exact release date for Gran Turismo Sport. The title was originally slated to be released on November 15, 2016, but the developer, Polyphony Digital, revealed last year that it would be delayed into 2017 — and that's all we know.
