Gotham City Impostors is an upcoming shooter set in the Batman universe. The title pits fake Jokers against fake Batmen as they go head to head in FPS combat during objective-based games. The emphasis in this title is placed on fast-paced action and customization.

The game went through a beta phase last month that saw a lot of play across all platforms. Monolith, the studio behind the property, received feedback that has caused them to push the game's release out of January and into February.

The news comes from the game's official community forums:

Given the vast amount of feedback and data we received during our Beta, the Gotham City Impostors launch date is being moved to the February time frame. Your participation was tremendous. Many thanks for playing. Please stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Did you get a chance to check out this upcoming shooter on any of the platforms playable during the beta? I spent a few days with it through December and found it to be a blast to play. While there were only two gametypes playable, I thoroughly enjoyed the variety each map, character and load-out presented on a consistent basis.

Gotham City Impostors will launch as a downloadable title for Xbox LIVE, the PlayStation Network and PC platforms.
